Frequently asked questions about Wills

  • We will talk you through the different issues you will need to decide, but it might be helpful if you had a thought about what you would like your Will to say.

    This might include:

    • Thinking through the details of what you own and where it is - e.g., any property, any bank accounts and any valuable possessions, such as jewellery or cars.

    • Who would you like to leave something to and what would you like to leave them?

    • Who would you like to manage your Will to ensure that your wishes are carried out?

    • If you have children who might need to be cared for if you were to die, who should care for them? Are they willing to do so?

    • Do you have any specific preferences for your funeral?

These are the sort of instructions you write into your Will, so giving some thought to it ahead of time is always a good idea.

  • Please bring a photo ID with you (such as a passport or driver’s license), as well as a copy of a utility bill or some other proof of address. This is so we can carry out the checks we’re obliged to on your identity.
